Built-in 3-micron pre-filter / separator as standard: no X1 coalescing pre-filter needed at the (hot) inlet (high-temperature dryer).
* “Oil-free” air: residual oil ≤ 0.003 mg/m³ (oil vapour) (ISO 8573-1 oil class 1), per the AC carbon filter specification.

- Water separator: at the compressor : removes bulk liquid water right at the compressor outlet. A separate component from the dryer, required upstream (often already in place). View water separators →
- 3-micron pre-filter: built into the dryer (standard) : high-temperature dryer: the hot air is first cooled (built-in aftercooler) then filtered to 3 micron inside. No external X1 coalescing pre-filter at the inlet: coalescing does not work on hot air.
- XA after-filter: after the dryer (optional) : captures fine oil droplets (0.01 µm) for very clean outlet air.
- AC carbon filter: after (optional) : removes oil vapours and odours: “oil-free” air. Add when needed, rarely required.
