Water separator — at the compressor — removes bulk liquid water right at the compressor outlet. A separate component from the dryer, required upstream (often already in place). View water separators →
3-micron pre-filter — built into the dryer (standard) — high-temperature dryer: the hot air is first cooled (built-in aftercooler) then filtered to 3 micron inside. No external X1 coalescing pre-filter at the inlet — coalescing does not work on hot air.
XA after-filter — after the dryer (optional) — captures fine oil droplets (0.01 µm) for very clean outlet air.
AC carbon filter — after (optional) — removes oil vapours and odours: “oil-free” air. Add when needed — rarely required.
