VPFlowScope Probe — 3-in-1 flow probe for compressed air audits
The VPFlowScope Probe is a 3-in-1 insertion probe that simultaneously measures mass flow, pressure and temperature of dry compressed air. With an LCD display and a built-in data logger, it is the reference tool for auditors — installable under pressure. Two-directional measurement, for ring networks, is available as an option.
Field problem
A compressed air audit means measuring flow at several points, sometimes on networks where air moves both ways. With the bi-directional option, the Thermabridge probe also tracks back-flow — a classic trap for one-way meters — and the display with built-in logger lets you read and record data without a computer or dedicated panel.
Measurable benefits
The probe comes in three versions (no display, display, display with logger) and three lengths (300, 400, 600 mm) to suit the diameter. Typical field accuracy for an insertion is on the order of ± 5 %, made reliable by a good choice of location. Modbus RTU and 4–20 mA outputs integrate it with VPVision, the CALMS platform or an ONYX kit to move from a one-time audit to permanent monitoring.

How is it different from the VPFlowScope M?
The Probe measures 3 quantities (flow, pressure, temperature) and includes a display and data logger; it's the reference tool for audits. The M adds totalized flow and the exchangeable VPSensorCartridge, built for permanent installation. Both are insertion probes, with bi-directional measurement available as an option.
What accuracy can I expect?
Field accuracy for an insertion probe is on the order of ± 5 %, depending on installation conditions (straight runs, dry air, probe position). Onyx M3 picks the location to make it reliable.
Can it log without a computer?
Yes. The version with display and built-in logger (D11) records on site for set periods. D2 (no display) and D10 (display only) versions also exist.
